A short gayatri hymn of Vamadeva Gautama, the first verse to Vayu and the rest to Indra and Vayu together. Drink first of the pressed honey, Vayu, at the morning rites, for you are the first drinker. Come with a hundred aids and your team of horses, with Indra as charioteer, and be satisfied with the soma. Let a thousand bay horses bring you both to the food. Mount your golden-seated chariot that touches heaven, and come to the generous worshipper. Here is the pressed soma; drink it with the gods in the giver's house. Here let your travel end and your horses be unyoked.
