Soma for the gods of the seasons
Gritsamada's jagati sukta for the Ritu devatas, each verse pairing a deva with a month of the year: Indra with Madhu, the Maruts with Madhava, Tvashtri with Shukra, Agni with Shuchi, Indra with Nabhas, and Mitra and Varuna with Nabhasya. Each verse invites its devas to drink Soma from a particular priest's cup: Indra from the hotri's, the Maruts, sons of Bharata, from the potri's, Tvashtri with the divine wives from the neshtri's, Agni from the agnidh's, Indra again from the brahman's, and the two kings Mitra and Varuna from the prashastri's. The pressed Soma is offered with "svaha" and "vashat".
