Brihaduktha Vamadevya praises Indra in Trishtubh. I sing the fame of your greatness, Maghavan, when the frightened two worlds called on you; you helped the devas and cast down the Dasa's strength. You found no foe who could stand. Which rishis before us reached the end of your might, you who made father and mother together from your own body? Four mighty names you hold, unharmed, by which you do your deeds. You hold all wealth, open and hidden; do not cut short my wish. In the last verse Brihaduktha names himself as maker of this prayer for Indra, who set light within light and joined honey with honey.
