Satyadhriti Varuni speaks to the Adityas, or Aditi, in gayatri; the sukta is a svastyayana, a prayer for safe going. Great, heavenly and hard to overcome be the protection of the three, Mitra, Aryaman and Varuna. Over those whom they guard, no evil-speaking foe has power, neither at home nor on the roads nor in hard places. To the mortal man whom the sons of Aditi lead forward to live, they give unfailing light. Three verses, recited before setting out.
