I praise three-headed Agni of the seven rays, whole and complete, in the lap of his two parents. Dirghatamas's trishtubh verses show him seated firm yet moving, filling all the bright spaces of heaven. The great bull has grown toward the two, ageless, his ruddy flames licking the udder. Two milk-cows, Heaven and Earth, wander around one shared calf. Wise seers lead him to his place, guarding him in their hearts, and the Sun became visible to them. He is worth seeing in every direction and worth praising, for small and great alike, so that they may live.
