The child plays, and the crow wonders
Bhushundi goes on describing the child for Garuda: rosy palms, long arms, a lion cub's shoulders, a conch-like neck, babbling words, two little teeth above and two below, a smile like moonlight, lotus eyes that free from becoming, a gorochana tilak, dark curls, a thin yellow frock. Rama dances at his own reflection in the courtyard and plays with the crow in ways Bhushundi is shy to tell. Laughing, he runs to catch him; the crow flies off and the boy shows him a sweet cake. When the crow comes near, the Lord laughs; when it flies away, he cries. Watching this play, just like an ordinary child's, delusion seized Bhushundi: what sort of deed is this for the Lord who is awareness and bliss itself?
कलबल बचन अधर अरुनारे । दुइ दुइ दसन बिसद बर बारे ॥
ललित, कपोल मनोहर नासा । सकल सुखद ससि कर सम हासा ॥

किलकत मोहि धरन जन धावहिँ । चलउँ भागि तम पूप देखावहिँ ॥
