Mandodari recalls Rama's deeds to Ravana
Mandodari says: give up this folly, husband; war with Raghupati does not suit you. You could not cross the small line Lakshmana drew. Will you beat one whose envoy crossed the sea in play, wrecked the grove, killed Akshaya before your eyes and burned the city? Do not think Raghupati a mere king; he is lord of all that moves and stands. Maricha knew his arrow, yet you ignored him. At Janaka's court he broke the bow and won Janaki; why did you not defeat him then? Indra's son knows his strength. You saw Shurpanakha's fate. He killed Viradha, Khara, Dushana and Kabandha, and Bali with one arrow.
