Daughter, he says, you have sanctified both families; the whole world speaks of your bright fame. Your river of glory has outrun the Ganga and travelled through crores of universes; the Ganga has three great places on earth, but yours has made countless gatherings of saints. Hearing her father's loving truth, Sita seems to sink into shyness. Sita, abashed, does not say it, but feels it is not right to stay the night here. Reading her face, the queen tells the king, who praises her modesty in his heart. Meeting her again and again, they send her off with honour, and the wise queen, finding the moment, tells Janaka of Bharata's state.
