Fourteen years with Rama would pass like moments

Four days pass like this, men and women happy just to look at Rama. In both camps one wish is quietly held: we would rather not go back without Sita and Rama. Living in the forest with them is comfort worth crores of heavens; whoever leaves Lakshmana, Rama and Vaidehi to go home has fate against him. When providence is kind to all of us, then we shall live near Rama in the forest: bathing in the Mandakini three times a day, Rama's darshan a garland of joy, walking among Rama's hills and hermitages, eating roots and fruit sweet as amrit. Fourteen years would go by like a moment. Yet they say, we are not worthy of such bliss. Both companies simply love Rama's feet.
