Bharata asks forest folk for news of Rama

Bharata hears his own praise mixed with Rama's, and walks on remembering Rama. At every tirtha, hermitage and shrine he bathes and bows, and in his heart asks one boon only: love for the feet of Sita and Rama. He meets Kiratas, Kols, hermits, students and renunciants. Bowing to each, he asks in which forest Lakshmana, Rama and Vaidehi are. They give him all the news and feel their birth fulfilled at seeing Bharata. Anyone who says he has seen them well, Bharata holds as dear as Rama and Lakshmana. So that day passes, and at dawn he moves on, everyone sharing his longing for Rama's darshan.
