The procession sets out for Chitrakoot

Like the chakwa and chakwi birds longing for daybreak, the people of the city wait anxiously for morning. Bharata calls the wise ministers and says: take all the things for the coronation; in the forest the sage will give the kingdom to Rama. The ministers bow and at once ready horses, chariots and elephants. First the great sage sets out by chariot with Arundhati and the sacred fires. Hosts of Brahmins, treasuries of tapas, follow on many carriages. The citizens prepare their vehicles and set out for Chitrakoot. The queens go in palanquins too fine to describe. Handing the city to faithful servants and sending everyone ahead with respect, the two brothers Bharata and Shatrughna set out, remembering the feet of Rama and Sita.
