What happens in this chapter

Every village blesses the land they pass

In village after village there is such joy at seeing the moon who gladdens the lilies of the Solar line. Those who hear the news blame the king and queen; one says the king has done very well, since he gave us the reward of our eyes. Blessed are the father and mother who bore them, blessed the city they came from, and blessed every place they pass. The lovely account of Rama and Lakshmana on the road spreads through all the paths and forests. So the sun to the lotus of the Raghu line gives joy to the people on the way and goes on, looking at the forest, with Sita and Lakshmana.
