They keep japa and vows, love the feet of guru, Govinda and Brahmins, and have faith, forgiveness and compassion. They have detachment, discernment and humility, never act from hypocrisy or pride and serve others without motive. Not even Sharada and the Vedas could tell all their virtues. Narada clasps the Lord's feet and leaves for Brahmaloka. Tulsidas closes: those who sing Ravana's foe's glory gain firm bhakti without japa or yoga. The young woman's body is a lamp flame; mind, do not be the moth. The colophon ends the third step, Aranya Kanda.
