Kavi Bhargava offers five jagati verses to Soma Pavamana. Soma, upholder of heaven, flows as the skill of the devas; released like a steed, he shows his strength in the rivers. Like a hero he takes weapons in both hands, a charioteer seeking the cows, and stirs Indra's might. He is asked to swell heaven and earth as lightning swells the clouds. King of all, he is groomed with the sun's ray, father of thoughts. Like a bull to the herd he flows into the cask, so that the singers, under his protection, may win in battle.
