Winner of Cows, Horses and All

Avatsara Kashyapa's seventh gayatri sukta. Soma is hailed as winner of cows, of horses, of all things and of delight, and asked to bring treasure with offspring. Unassailable, let him flow for the waters, for the plants, for the twin bowls of the pressing. Purifying, let him carry us across all troubles and sit as poet on the barhis. Finder of the heavenly light, at his very birth Pavamana became great, and Indu prevails over all.
