Avatsara Kashyapa, in four gayatri verses, calls Soma 'armed with stones'. Soma's powers have risen, breaking the rakshasas; let him drive away those who contend. With this might, striker of foes when wealth is at stake in the clash of chariots, the rishi praises him with a fearless heart. The vratas of Pavamana cannot be assailed by the ill-intentioned; let him break whoever fights against him. The priests urge the tawny steed into the rivers, Indu who brings joy, gladdening for Indra.
