Uchathya Angirasa's second gayatri sukta opens with a call to the adhvaryu priest: pour the Soma pressed with stones onto the filter and purify it for Indra to drink. Press for Indra, holder of the vajra, the highest nectar of heaven, the sweetest Soma. The Devas and the Maruts enjoy the honey of Pavamana's juice. Pressed, Soma makes the praiser grow, for joy and for help. Far-seeing, he is asked to flow through the filter in a stream toward strength and fame.
