What happens in this chapter

Kashyapa bows to Soma, lord of plants

The last sukta of the mandala, four verses to Soma Pavamana by Kashyapa, Asita or Devala, keeping the refrain, flow round, Indu, for Indra. Whoever follows the abodes of Pavamana and gives his mind to Soma is called rich in offspring. The seer addresses himself: Rishi Kashyapa, raising songs with the stomas of the mantra-makers, bow to King Soma, born lord of the plants. Seven quarters with their many suns, seven hotars, seven Aditya devas: with these, Soma, guard us. With the oblation cooked for you, King, protect us; let no enemy overcome us and let nothing at all harm us.
