The Vasishthas first to greet Dawn

Three trishtubh verses of Maharshi Vasishtha. The Vasishthas, poets with their hymns, are the first to wake and greet Ushas, who turns the two bordering worlds and reveals all creatures. She brings new life, hides the darkness with light and wakes; the young woman goes in front without shame and makes known the sun, the sacrifice and the fire. Let the auspicious Dawns always shine for us with horses, cows and heroes, milking ghee and swelling on every side.
