Bharadvaja Barhaspatya prays to Soma and Rudra together in four trishtubh mantras, one of the Veda's healing prayers. Let them hold their divine might, bring seven treasures to every house, and be gentle to our two-footed and four-footed. They are asked to tear out the sickness that has entered the home and drive Nirriti, decay, far away. Let them place all medicines in our bodies, and loosen and free from us whatever sin we have done that is bound in our bodies. Sharp of weapon yet kind, may they be gracious here, free us from Varuna's noose and guard us with good will.
