Six gayatri mantras of Bharadvaja Barhaspatya to Pushan. He is called son of deliverance, the glowing one: let us be companions, and let him be the charioteer of rita for us. He wears braided hair, is lord of great bounty, a stream of riches, the friend of every thinker. Goats are his horses. In riddling words the text names him the suitor of his mother and the lover of his sister. He is Indra's brother and the poet's friend. Goats bearing their load are asked to draw the deva in his chariot.
