The Prayasvantas of the Atri family, those who bring offerings, praise Agni in anushtubh with a closing pankti. They ask Agni, greatest winner of prizes, to make famous among the devas the wealth he himself thinks worthy. Those who do not stir him to action fall away, grown in fierce strength yet turned aside, and hostility and crookedness cling to the one of another vow. The singers choose Agni as hotar, the accomplisher of skill, first in the yajna, and call him with their song. They close by asking to live in his help every day, rejoicing together with cattle and with heroes.
