Indra brings safe fording and fearlessness

A short trishtubh hymn of Vamadeva Gautama to Indra. Praised, Indra, come with your bay horses and your help, passing by many other pressings. The wise, manly one comes to the sacrifice when the pressers call, rejoicing with the heroes who press soma. Let the singer make Indra's ears hear, so that he grows strong for giving and makes good fords and freedom from fear for us. He comes to the vipra who calls and praises him, yoking his swift horses, a thousand and a hundred. The singers ask to share in wealth from the bright, generous Indra.
