Aghamarshana Madhuchchhandasa speaks on the course of creation in anushtubh; his name means the one who wipes out sin. Rta, the cosmic order, and satya, truth, were born from tapas kindled to its height. From that was born the night, and from that the surging ocean. From the ocean the year was born, ordaining days and nights, master of all that blinks. Dhatar shaped the sun and moon as before, and heaven and earth, the mid-air and the light beyond. Three verses, recited daily in sandhya as the Aghamarshana mantra while bathing, to wash away sin, for they hold all of creation in a single breath.
