6 verses · 21 of 191
Here I call Indra and Agni, whose praise we long for; they are the best drinkers of Soma. Medhatithi Kanva sings six gayatri verses to the pair. Praise them at the yajnas, men, adorn them, sing to them in gayatri. We call the fierce two to this pressing. The great lords of the assembly are asked to crush the rakshasas and leave the devourers without offspring. The last verse: by that truth, keep watch in the place of knowing, Indra and Agni, and give us shelter.
