What happens in this chapter

Adityas, be gracious to us

The yajna goes to the gods for their favour; be gracious, Adityas. Kutsa Angirasa prays to the Vishvedevas in three trishtubh verses. Praised with the samans of the Angirases, may the gods come with help: Indra with his powers, the Maruts with the Maruts, Aditi with the Adityas. May Indra, Varuna, Agni, Aryaman and Savitar grant us this food.
